Thanks for posting the info on Peter and Susanna Redding Carleton, as I am of
that line.
For some reason Ron's Worldtree listing of children of Monroe P. Carleton Sr.
and Anna Larabee leaves out Monroe P. Jr. (my grandfather) and sibling W.
Henry (b. July 1891).
Monroe P. Carleton Jr.
Born 21 Sep 1888 in St. Clair MI. He died in Dec 1973 in Bradenton FL and
was cremated; his ashes were scattered in the Gulf of Mexico.
He was listed in 1907 St. Clair Directory as living at 402 S. Second Street,
St Clair, MI. Monroe P. Sr. and Annie are also listed as living there. My
family also lived there before I was born.
Michigan Agricultural College Class of 1911. Sargeant-at-Arms, Aurorean
Literary Society. (Michigan State University Archives)
He was a Life Member of Masonic Evergreen Lodge No. 9, St. Clair MI. I have
Masonic certificates for Monroe P. Sr. and Jr., as well as for my parents.
He worked at the Maxwell car company in Detroit for a while and played
baseball for the Maxwells, a farm team for the Detroit Tigers. His Social
Security application lists him as employed by Cadillac Motor Car Co., Clark
Ave., Detroit Mich. in 1942. Later he became a successful Real Estate
salesman and was also GM of a large insurance company in Detroit.
He married Mary Edna Facer in Detroit MI. She was born 2 Jan 1892 in Au
Sable MI, d/o Winfield Scott Facer and Nettie Gillum. She died 15 Apr 1944
in Detroit MI, and is buried in Hillside Cemetery, St. Clair MI

Monroe P. Carleton Jr. married (2) Nov 1944 to Naomi Olive Black, b. 13 Aug
1905. She was an elementary school teacher. They lived in Detroit for many
years before moving to Ovid MI and spent winters in Bradenton FL. She died
March 1, 1995 in Bradenton FL and was cremated; her ashes were scattered in
the Gulf of Mexico. They had no children.

Hi Ron I have no further data on children of Peter &Susanna beyond the info
posted on your
Ancestry.com World Tree project. I did receive data at one
time that Frederic's wifes name was Freelove Hindman. My interest in this
line has been through William Hutchins Carleton and Laviina Willoughby.
The Carleton connection was quite solid for along time, but the Willoughby
and Redding lines had been passed over. The Hutchins family was also
rather well researched.
