Descendants of Franklin Carlton
Generation One
1. FRANKLIN1 CARLTON was born in 1800 at Vermont.1 He
was born circa 1801 at Massachussets.2,3 He was born circa 1804 at
New York (four different census', three different birth places which
has made it difficult to find his parents).4
Say 1829 Franklin married Fanny [--?--] at New York.4
He was a laborer.4
Franklin Carlton was enumerated as the head of household
along with his wife, Fanny in the 1850 U.S. federal census
enumeration on 17 July 1850 at Oswegatiche, Saint Lawrence County,
New York. Nancy Carlton, Benjamin F. Carlton, Amasa Carlton, and
Henry Carlton were in Franklin's household on this census.4 He was a
stone mason.1
Franklin Carlton was enumerated as the head of household
along with his wife, Fanny in the 1860 U.S. federal census
enumeration on 13 June 1860 at 3rd Ward, Ogdensburgh, Saint Lawrence
County, New York. Benjamin F. Carlton and Henry Carlton were in
Franklin's household on this census.1
