Henry Carlton Son of Thomas Carlton was shot while hunting by his Brother in
Law Robert Carlton Jr Son of Robert Carlton Sr in Wilkes Co, Ga. Robert
never married and moved to East Tennessee where he had a large estate. In
1816 Lucy Carlton sold her farm in Wilkes County, Georgia and she and her
son Isaac and Robert and daughter Rebecca moved to Alabama, and a short time
before the death of Lucy Carlton at an extreme old age at least ninety, the
family moved to Cherokee County, Georgia. There was heavy litigation about
her property.

Why did Henry was shot? My grandmother doesn't have document mentioning
Henry's death.
