Did anyone see the
Ancestry.com show of Rosie' O'Donnell? Rosie has
family who immigrated from Ireland.
It is a really heart warming story about so many destitute immigrants
who live the the dreadful, awful
Worker's home in KilKenny, Ireland until someone sponsored their fare
to America. On the Internet, you can watch the re-run at
http://www.hulu.com.
I think there are probably many of we "Carletons" who would do well to
look further into the circumstances of KilKenny, Ireland. I know some
of my family originated from that area, I would imagine they were
among this group of farmers......
Kind regards,
Patricia Carlton W.

I am looking for my great grandfather and any of my ancestors. I
cannot even find any information on him other than his name, William
Carleton. He had at least one son who was born in Ireland as well,
Guy Leopold Carleton (november of 1878). His wife was Charolette
Payne. Any information that anyone has as to where to search and
such would be greatly appreciated.
