Thank you for your response. I don't know whether my William descends from
Guy Carleton. Do the facts about the William you're thinking of match with
my William, i.e. born in 1840 in Lewis Co., New York, both parents born in
New York? Do you have a source of Guy Carleton's family that I could
research to find out?
