Here is what I have on Theodore Carleton:
Parents: Christopher Carleton and Mary Barker
Gparents: John Carleton and Hannah Osgood
GGparents: John Carleton and Hannah Jewett
GGGparents: Edward Carleton and Ellen Newton
GGGGparents: Walter Carleton and Jane Gibbon
GGGGGparents: John Carleton and Ellen Strickland
I have no more information on Theodore. My line is from John Carleton and
Hannah Jewett and their son Edward Carleton/Carlton and Elizabeth Kimball.
The New England Historic Genealogical Register, (June 1940) has a great
article on the Carleton/Carlton family.
From "Carleton-Carlton Forebears, A Genealogy of Some Descendants
of Edward
Carleton, Proprietor of Rowley, Mass., 1639/1648/9, With Some
Biographical
Notes", Compiled by Helena M. Goodale Hargrave, 1970, Revised in 1977.

I know there is some information on
Rootsweb.com, but be careful as some of
the Carleton/Carlton information there has been incorrectly inputted by
someone using the above book. My family is an example of that, and I cannot
get the person to change it. Use Rootsweb as a clue, there is more
information there, and one shows Harriet Poor Carleton as a daughter of
Theodore and that Harriet married a John Pearson. Good luck.
Let me know if I can be of further help.

Subject: [CARLETON] Introduction and about Theodore Carleton of New England
Dear Friends on Carleton List,
I live in Washington state. I labor and write. I'm 55 and single.
My Mother has been researching, mostly her side of the family,
for 20 years.
So here's the line I'm researching.followed by my question.
On my father's side,
my great grandfather's middle name was Carlton,
and his grandmother's maiden name was Harriot Poor Carleton
of New Hampshire. Our best information says her father was
Theodore Carleton, born 1734. In _The History of Exeter (NH),
Theodore Carleton is mentioned a few times, and
Harriot Poor Carleton is listed in the index.
Do You have more complete information? It's possible
someone in our New England family tree knows this for sure, but we don't.
The branch from Theodore Carleton seems to include, among others,
Ellen Strickland -- who married John Carleton of Beeford, England.
Whether the baby born in 1734 is our direct ancestor, or another
relative, is one of the uncertainties in our Carleton tree.
Anyway, warm greetings to all of You.
Sincerely
Mike Pearson
