Hi all
I read with interest Roy Carleton's comments 20/07/03.
I have been adapting Lorna Carleton's book on the Carletons of Penrith for
her. Because of the prohibitive cost of printing small runs, I have, with
Lorna's permission placesd it on CD so that it can be issued to interested
parties at a reasonable cost.
For those of you not familiar with Lorna's book, it details the history of
the Penrith Carletons from the Norman conquest through various branches of
the family in England. It is an essential reference work for those
interested in the English family.
Apart from a few pictures the CD is almost ready. When time allows I hope
to package and sell the CD at a modest cost to cover expenses. I hope this
does not break the rules of this site, but this is a private work, not a
business offer. If anybody would be interested they are welcome to contact me.
I am sure Roy will let me know if I have breached the site rules, any
suggestions on the best way of letting people know about the CD would be
welcome.
Thankyou
Colin
