Obituary: FITCHBURG - Leo F. Carle, 82, of 206 Reingold Ave., a plastering
mason for many years, died Saturday in the Edith N. Rogers Veterans
Administration Hospital, Bedford, after a long illness.
He leaves his wife of 49 years, Dora M. (Robichaud) Carle; two daughters,
Gail Pizzola of Wichita, Kan., and Deborah Carle Fnine of Fitchburg; four
grandchildren; nephews and nieces. A son, Bruce Carle of Fitchburg, died in
1980. He was born in Fitchburg, son of Napoleon and Justine (Dauphinais)
Carle.
He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Mr. Carle was a plastering mason for Leominster Engineering Co. for many
years, retiring in 1977.
He was a member of St. Joseph's Church and a life member of Local 1,
Bricklayers Union.
A funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. today in St. Joseph's Church, 46
Woodland St. After cremation, burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be
made to the Alzheimer's Association of Eastern Massachusetts, 1 Kendall
Square, Building 200, Cambridge, 02139. Aubuchon-Moorcroft Funeral Home,
132 Woodland St., is directing arrangements.
