Gainesville, Fla. -- Former Montrose resident, Jack L CArl, 36, died
on Wednesday August 12, 1998, in Gainsville, Fla., from injuries he
received in an automobile accident.
Jack L Carl, was born in Montrose, CO., on Sept. 15, 1961, the son
of James Eldon and Nina Carl. He attended school in Montrose and later
joined his father in the plastering business and then moved to Florida
in 1992.
He is survived by his father, Jim Carl of Montrose, his mother, Nina
Wronski; one brother Scott Carl and wife Lynn; two sisters; Sherrie
Matzke, all of Albuquerque, NM; Shauna and husband Tony Kop of Pagosa
Springs; a half sister, Jamie Carl of Montrose as well as serveral
nieces and nephews.
Other family survivors include on aunt, Marjorie Smith of Grand
Junction; and two uncles; Larry Carl of Hesperus and Hartsel Ferguson of
Albuquerque, NM.
Mr. Carl was proceeded in death by his paternal grandparents, Orlea
Leonard "Jack" Carl and Edna (Titus ) Carl Wininger; Maternal
grandparents, Lee Ferguson and Doris Sievers; his step-father Stan
Wronski; five uncles Leonard "Marty" Carl, Merlin "Ike" Carl, Roland
"Rollie" CArl, Carl Veron "Tub" Carl, Frank Ferguson and two aunts
Ramona "Mona" Scheierman and Thelma Livingston.
Cremation has taken place, with a Memorial Service to honor and
celebrate Mr. Carl's life to be held at a later date in Montrose.
