All,
This exchange started from an inquiry on our homepage. As you see,
Dorothea gave permission to use the information on our page but I
thought this list might be a better venue.

Inquiry
Karl,
Just a rundown on the Ephraim Taylor Carle who was from New Jersey and in Rev.
War. His son to first wife was Joseph Carle married Maria Gorden. He was War of
1812 Veteran. Both were in Jefferson County, Ohio. Ephraim applied for his
pension I believe in Cadiz, Harrison County, Ohio. Ephraim had Joseph to his
first wife (name unknown) and then married Nancy Clark and had seven more
children. I do not know their names.
I have his information on Rev War Records and feel free to use them in your
site.
A Private in the service of New Jersey 1776; served monthly tours under;
Captain William Baird, 2nd Battalion, Somerset County; Cols. Abraham Quick and
Vroom, and a Captain Stout. From May 20th 1778, served p months in Captin Van
Anglin's Co., Col. Ogden's Regt; also served Fall, 1779 one month in Captain
Stout's Regt; Fought in the Battles of Germantown and Monmouth.
Perhaps someone can help with this or it can help others.
Dorothea Greer

Dorthea,
Please download the file named CARLE.ZIP in the "Downloads" section
of our homepage. That will give you what we have on the Carles in our
line. There are also photos and documents relating to our Carles that
may be screen captured. If you find any connection with your line I'd
appreciate hearing from you. There is no Rev War info on Carles in the
db but there are Civil War documents on one William Carle of Iowa which
are posted

Hello,
I was trying to find the name CARLE in your database; and could not find it.
I am particularly intersted in a Carle who was said to be a Rev. War
Veteran. He was in the Belmont and Harrison Counties, Ohio area.
The Harrison County Genealogical and Historical Society, two different
societies are working to put a database together for all Rev War Soldiers
buried in Harrison County, Ohio. We can not seem to get this Carle
information.
If anything, can you email me?
Thank you
