Ginny,
I recalled references to HALLER in Missouri. I checked Sherida K.
Eddlemon's "Missouri Birth and Death Records", Volume 1; Heritage Books,
Inc. and found two entries on page 180.
There's not much but perhaps it might lead you to some relatives in a place
where you haven't yet looked.
The entries were:
HALLER, IMMANUEL: B: 02/21/1859, (C) STL, (S) CH3A
{STL = St. Louis County
CH3A = Birthdates in the Marriage Register of Trinity Lutheran Church}
HALLER, PHILLIP: (D) 08/25/1849, (C) JACK, (S) MIS1
{JACK = Jackson County
MIS1 = Mining Association, Bureau of Topographical Engineers}
No CARLEs, unfortunately, tho there was a CARROL, an occasional phonetic
mis-spelling
of CARLE in those days, I understand.

My Carle ancestor is Anna Catharina CARLE b. ca 1693 in Diemptig,
Berne,
SWT. She married Heinrich HALLER 7 Jan 1714 in Wolfersweiler (Saarland)
GER. They were married by Friedrich Ludwig Euler, a Reformed Pastor. Her
father was Christian CARLE who resided in Diemptig, Bern Region, SWT. The
notation I have in my database reads as follows:
1733 - Eighteenth Century Emigrants from The Northern Alsace In America,
Mattstall Lutheran KB - Elizabeth, daughter of the late Christian Carle
(Originally from Diemtigen, BE, was a sponsor in 1727 for Johann Daniel
Haller, son of Heinrich Haller and his wife, Anna Catharina, nee
Carle. She arrived with the Haller family on the Samuel in 1733. There
is no marriage or death record for her in Mattstall.
My information came from Amelia Gilreath from Haller-Hollar-Holler
Genealogy and the above noted source. This is all the information I have
on my Carle line. Would appreciate any help anyone came give me for this
line. Thanks. Ginny
