A listing of the succession of pastors of the Reformed Church of Hurley
includes John H. Carle for the years 1814-1825. (p. 152, 2nd Part)
Town of Marbletown
John H. Carle is listed as an inspector of the common schools for
one or more years in the period 1813-43. (p. 196, 2nd Part)
John H. Carle is also listed as minister in this town in the years
1814-26. (p. 196, 2nd Part)
It is not stated that these two listings are of the same man
but it seems a reasonable inference.
Town of Olive
A list of pastors in this town includes Rev. John H. Carle,
1814-26. (N.B., The Baptist churches of Marbletown and Olive
were associated.; p. 299, 2nd Part)
Town of Ulster
John H. Carle was elected as District 1 auditor in March, 1880

Philip Carle is listed as an elder or deacon (not clear from text)
on a certificate of incorporation of the Reformed Protestant Dutch Church
of Plattekill

The Plattekill Cemetery Association lists Levi Carle as
one of its trustees in an instrument recorded

George F. Carle as one of its trustees in an
instrument recorded March 5, 1870. (p. 180, 2nd Part)
Town of Saugerties:
War of 1812 soldier's list prepared from muster rolls:
Philip Carle (along with several dozen others Peter's
service was in the militia and it was called out for
short periods. (p. 63, 2nd Part)
The text then states:
"There were several who enlisted for the war at a
recruiting-office opened in Saugerties at the house
of Myndert Myderse. A company was obtained from
this town and Woodstock." (p. 63, 2nd Part)
