Dear Larry
Yes you are coming in loud and clear.
I enjoyed your messages.
Just read them this morning.
I didn't read any at all Saturday.
I don't have much time now today answer but will soon.
Thank you for the correction.
And please don't worry about offending me is you see any thing else that needs
correction that you want to tell me about.
I struggle with some mild cognitive problems do to a chronic illness.
Brain fog big time.
The family tree project has really helped me this winter as I was very down with a cold
for many weeks on top of the Chronic Fatigue I struggle with .
I had this project to keep me from getting deeply depressed.
So know I made spelling mistakes .
When gathering information some times though I have to use the information that I might
of found my self searching or take the one who I think is the most knowledgeable because
some times more than one person corrects me and they disagree on the matter.
I will use the name for Cora your mother has told me because she is the oldest that knew
her until I find written record of some thing different.
Some times my family tree data I sent out changes.
Its hard for me to pick up all the miss spelled things so I am really happy when some one
corrects me and in time when I have time I change the mistakes.
Some times an older relative tells me one thing and then my mother who was not a bit
interested in my research at first and tried to discourage it would correct me.
So I have to take some things and ignore them.
I am now getting some interesting response back .
A first cousin reminded me of a game our grandma taught us to play as a child.
I sent out a request to a few kin of this game and found not only did my grandma play this
with her grandchildren she played it with her children and two of my grandmothers sibling
taught the same game to their kids.
It gives me a bit of insight into the every day life of ancestors before me even if it is
just how they intertained the kids.
So I think maybe my grandma played this game taught by her mom when she was a girl
that's how her other siblings also knew of the game to pass it along.
Ok its a terrible sounding game but we had a ton of laughs as kids playing it.
I will now ask you did you play this game ? and who taught you how?
" This is how my grandmother died"
This is how one kin explained it better than I could.
We sat in a circle and a person like myself would start it out by saying
to the person to the right of them. Jeanie did you know my grandmother
died? and you would say no, how? and I would say like this, then I would
make my right leg go up and down with my foot tapping the floor. Then
when it got back to me I would say again Jeanie did you know my
grandmother died? and you would answer no, how? again I would say like
this, and do the same with my left leg. It kept going like this with the
right arm, then left arm and then making the head go up and down without
stopping the legs and arms till at the end I would say like this and
put my legs and arms out to the side and lay my head back. The game
ended when everyone lay dead
I will send an attachment of our recent pictures.
Our computer has been cleaned recently of any supposed virus " my brother in-law has
one he is slow at fixing and we can not even receive his mail any more and I have new
virus scanners reviewing incoming and out going mail so my attachment is OK to open and it
is new. My husband is super good with computers.
He was a CAD draftiness in State College Pa when computers took over the pencils and he
was the first in his office to receive one he took several weeks of training and then
trained all the guys under him.
He has a brain that just thinks like a computer all his work is on a computer and he also
is often called upon to fix and set up other computer in the office he works in now but he
is a CAD for Tyson chicken he designs machinery for
Tyson Chicken and we have 2 computers running at home he is always up grading and
rebuilding and he rebuilds an old one from time to time to sell just to get it out of the
house.
He uses the home computer constantly for research he is a teacher also and has programs
weekly to work on and he gives discourses he is often writing on computer.
He is smarter than I am .
Take care Love cousin Jeanie
