Hi all!
Aggi, regarding your question about Angelo Marino's parents info. I
wouldn't say that information was based on any degree of certainty.
My main sources would have been Joseph Carideo (married to Angela
Capone, son of Faustino Carideo who was the brother of Angelo Marino.)
Joseph and I used to be in phone contact more than 5 years ago now.
He'd be 88 yrs old if he's still alive (he was in pretty bad health back
then).
I was also in contact with his cousin Henry Lewis. Carideo M.D. (married
to Antoinette Imbrogno, son of Fred Carideo who is another one of Angelo
Marino's brother). I would have thought that your grandfathers name is
not something you would forget in a hurry but neither were able to give
much with any degree of certainty, just vague recollections which could
be totally wrong!
Why do you ask? Do you have some conflicting information? If your
sources are more reliable than the selective memories of two elderly
gentlemen, then don't discount possible links or ammendments.
As for your other comment about how so many seem interested in knowing
our family tree but not many are willing to contribute. I've found the
same time and again. It's very frustrating isn't it?
We'll get there in the end!
Ciao for now!
