Hi,
I have never seen documentation for the marriage of Robert Carhart to prove
the name of his wife. I especially wish documentation could be located that
proved the names of Robert Carhart's children, especially son Cornelius Carhart,
which is my line. Robert Carhart died intestate and I have not found if he
owned land upon his death, which might help with a paper trail.
We are fortunate to have the Carhart book by Dusenbury/Dusenberry, but use it
as clues/hints toward your research.
I can give you information on Cornelius Carharts family; many descendants
have joined the DAR and Daughters of the American Colonists using ancestor,
Cornelius Carhart. He is buried in what is Washington, NJ today, but called
Mansfield Woodhouse Cemetery.
