But...I've had some replies to this question sent to my email address, and there's
lots of disagreements. For example, the Carhart book states that Christopher Stanley and
Susannah had no children.
Someone (giving no sources) wrote me this:
"Rebecca Stanley, born in England, was the daughter of Christopher and Susannah
[Aspinwall] Stanley who came over on the same ship as Thomas and Dorothy Lord, [Elizabeth
and Ann, sailed on 4- 29 1635]. They settled in Boston on June 2, 1641. Christopher died
3-27, 1646 and Susannah remarried to Major William Phillips.
"So Rebecca Stanley and Rebecca Phillips were step-sisters. This can easily explain
the confusion generated over the years."
What are the sources for the info you sent?
