Hello,
I also have a James CARGILL in my ancestors but in Pennsylvania. Do you know of any
CARGILLs in PA?
Thank you,
Elizabeth

Thanks for sharing this.
I am a Cargill descendant and I just finished transcribing
a Cargill genealogy written by John and Helen Cargill titled
"David Cargill of Londonderry, NH and some of his
descendants." This document includes a James Cargill
b. 1848 and d. 1926 in Washington, Maine. So this
could be the James Cargill the article refers to. This
James Cargill and I share a common Cargill ancestor, David
Cargill, b. 1753 in Newcastle, Maine.
