I don't know that parish. Would it be the John Carey who married Bridget
McCarty in Waterford on 22 Oct 1869?
John Carey

A trio of posts to the Carey mail list made me decide to write a post myself. I don’t
have anything new to add. I had planned to do a bit of research in Orange County, NY this
past week. Unfortunately the storm Riley and then the second storm that occurred the next
week put an end to my hopes. My ancestor that I hoped to research was Absolom Carey who
married Temperance Cooley… Other researchers have told me that Absolom was a Revolutionary
War patriot and that he was the father to my Benjamin Franklin Carey who moved to what is
now Logan County in WV. This would have been before 1820 as his marriage record is here
in that year.
Anyone know this Carey family found in Orange County, NY during the Revolution? marsha in
