Thomas M. Carey, m. Mary Shindler (father of Thomas G. & John)
Looking for a living relative of Thomas M. Carey, who is the father of John
and Thomas G. Carey.
Thomas M. married Mary Shindler, daughter of George Shindler.
Thomas M. worked for the plumbing firm of Carey & Hall.
Some time probably during WWII, Thomas G. Carey, who was with the U.S. Army
Ordnance Dept., had a son born in the Lying-in Hospital, Chicago, Illinois, on
the 24th birthday of his brother, John Carey, who was a warrant office at Ft.
Lewis, Washington.
A co-worker of mine has recently purchased a book of poems by the Sisters of
Saint Dominic, dated October 7, 1942 -"On the Strings of Time" - which also
contains many published and handwritten poems by Sister Mary Mannes, Carey, O.P.
of the Sisters of Saint Dominic, Adrian, Michigan. (Sr. Mary Mannes may also
have written under a pen name, H. Keating.)
My co-worker would like to find a living relative so he can give this book
which he bought at a book sale in West Hartford, CT, just because he liked
poetry.

Bloomfield, CT
