Hi Kevin,
Happy Christmas to you too and all of the other CAREY'S ...
My CAREY'S came over from Ireland, in 1880, through Castle Garden and on
to
Jersey City where they stayed for their lifetimes .. Found out a lot
about
them from kind souls in NJ but can't place where in Ireland they came
from ..
Think it might be Kerry as Patrick Carey married a Anna (Johanna)
Prindiville
and that name is prevalent in Kerry ..
The had 4 children, Thomas 1891, Edward 1894 (died very young), Johanna
(Anna) 1895, William 1903, James 1907
Thomas drove a coal truck in Hudson County and married (???) died in July
1962
Edward disappears after the 1900 census
Johanna married an Andrew Cribbins and had 3 children
William married Marie Lichacz and they moved to Astoria NY and had 2 sons
(They lived on the same street growing up. William at 227 Pacific and
Marie ???
James ????
Hoping someone in that family possibly the Cribbins will be looking for
their Carey ancestors ..
Again Happy Christmas and Healthy 2007
MaryPat
