I'm looking for Careys in Waco, McLennan Co., TX: the family of Worley Carey
b. Jan 1866 who married Laura J. Rothrock in 1891 in Washington Co., TN.
Their children were Stella P., Edmonica R., and Robert A. born between 1893
and 1899 in TN. They were in Waco by 1910 and in McGregor Co., TX by 1920.
Stella married Will Dedeck or Bedeck c 1910. Edmonica was still single in
1920.

Shera was my aunt, and was born
Shera Lynn Carey. She was born in Yoakum, Lavaca Co., TX and died in Waco,
McLennan Co., TX. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her mother
remarried to Chris Zellmer. Her father was Kenneth Atwell Carey, who died
November 1, 1999.

Shera Lynn Arriola
Shera Lynn Arriola, passed away Friday, April 27, 2012, at Providence Health
Center. Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 2, at OakCrest
Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
Shera
was born March 16, 1954, in Yoakum, to Mr. and Mrs. Chris Zellmer.
Shera attended Waco schools and Austin Cosmetology School. She was a great
partner, wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. Shera had worked for the
U.S. Postal Service in Penelope and was a licensed Cosmetologist. She
married Ines Arriola on Dec. 21, 1973. After beginning their life together
in Waco, Shera and Ines had two daughters.
Shera was a sweet and precious wife and mother to her two girls. Her life
was centered around her family and friends. They have many wonderful
memories of their times spent together. Shera loved animals, spending time
with her family, enjoyed cooking, sewing and gardening.
She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Ines Arriola; daughters, Dawn
Arriola and Patrick Sweeney of Arlington, and Veronica Ballew and husband,
Jason, of West; brothers, Mike Carey of Holiday, Fla., Dale Zellmer and
wife, Susan, of Tomball; and granddaughter, Madeline Ballew.
The family wishes to express
their appreciation to Providence Hospice and the staff of Providence Health
Center for their care of Shera.
