Good Day:
I have read with interest the various exchanges of information about the
Carew families that emigrated to Canada with the Peter Robinson
settlements. Finally I have time to add my information to the subject,
which in some emails goes back to late 1991.
I am researching the family of one Esther CAREW, born 1848 in Ops
Township of Victoria County (?) to a Thomas Carew. I think this is the
father, although I understand there seems to be more than one Esther
born about the same time.
I base this information on the tombstone found in the Fenelon Falls
(Ontario) cemetery, which includes Thomas Carew 1808 - 1887, and a son
(?) Samuel 1850 - 1879 along with three babies of Esther Carew and her
husband Elisha Mark.
Would this Esther be a granddaughter of the Thomas Carew and Esther who
emigrated to Canada with children Anne, Samuel, Sarah, Richard, Thomas
(a father of my Esther?), Esther, John and Robert?
Thanks for any help provided,
Mark Ranson
