Terry:
The name LITTLETON does not appear in the index to the recently-published book titled
"The Heritage of Old Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, 1763 - 2003." However,
note that any names which appear in "Part XIII, MECKLENBURG COUNTY ADDENDUM,"
which appears on pages 469 - 475 of the book do not appear in the index. This addendum,
also in very small print, includes the following sections:
1. American Revolution Pensioners With Ties to Mecklenburg. Pgs. 469 - 470.
2. Colonial Soldiers of the South. Pgs. 470 - 473.
3. Plantation Life in the 1800s. Pgs. 473 - 474.
4. Hugh Torance House and Store and Cedar Grove. Pg. 474, including photograph captioned
"Hugh Torrance House."
5. Historic Rural Hill Farm. Pg. 474.
6. Historic Rosedale Plantation. Pg. 475, including photographs captioned "Historic
Rosedale 1868" and "Historic Rosedale 2002."
7. The Reid House. Pg. 475, including photograph captioned "The Reid House."
Just skimming over the material in this addendum, I do not readily see the surname
LITTLEJOHN listed on these pages. Some names listed on those pages which may be of
interest to readers of the CARLOCK, CARELOCK, CEARLOCK, and GOODNIGHT lists are as
follows. It is VERY possible that I may have overlooked some other names related to these
families. Please let the list know if anyone finds any additional names I may have
missed.

Subject: [CARLOCK] Any LITTLETON's in the new Mecklenburg book?
I have several Littletons that have gotten lost after I traced them
to
Cabarrus and Mecklenburg. Are there any LITTLETON's in this new book?
I'm well aware of the ones that married Carlocks and moved to IL but I'm
interested in the earlier Littletons.
Many thanks -
