As some of you know I have been looking for my Susan Carelock married to Edward L. Compton
for several years now and not even a hint has come my way -- nothing to grab onto at all.
So, I am wondering if she was Black, Mulatto, Native American - or was her first husband a
Carelock and died and she remarried to Compton?? I am grasping at straws.
Of course I have always wondered about "mail order brides". Some have scoffed at
the idea but it did happen!
Any ideas would be helpful!
