I have located James M. CARLOCK and his family on the 1880 census, 3rd
District, Alcorn Co., MS, pg. 60(?), supervisor's district 1,
enumeration district 6(?), dwelling 9, family 9, which lists both of
James's parents as having been born in NC. I have not yet been able to
identify the names of James's parents.
Daughter Alice Saphira CARLOCK KILLOUGH was not listed with her parents
on the 1880 census as the census was taken in June and she was married
in March. Alice was also not listed with her parents on the 1860
census, indicating that her correct birthdate is probably Apr. 29, 1863.
I have not yet been able to locate this family on the 1870 census.
