McGrath -- Cardwell
Lisa Cardwell became the bride of Dr. James McGrath in an evening ceremony on
Aug. 19, 2000, at Rhodes Hall in Atlanta, Ga.
The bride is the daughter of Wallace and Barbara Cardwell of Birmingham,
Ala., and the granddaughter of the late Charles and Drucsille Osborne and the
late William and Glady Cardwell.
The bridegroom is the son of Peter and Bonnie McGrath of Birchwood and the
grandson of the late Art and Mary McGrath, Leatrice Scott of Dearborn, Mich.
and the late James Scott.
Chaplain Jeramiah Okeefé officiated the ceremony and harpist Brenda Street
provided nuptial music.
The bride was presented in marriage by her father. Her sister, Tammy Hawkins
of Springville, Ala., was matron of honor. Ashley Hawkins of Springville, the
bride's niece, was bridesmaid.
The bridegroom's father was best man and Timothy Hawkins of Springville was
ring bearer.
A reception was given at Rhodes Hall with Christine Velezis of Birmingham,
the bridegroom's sister, serving.
After a wedding trip to Seaside, Fla., the couple resides in Atlanta.
