Below is a description of the site:
Description: Located south-west of Roanoke, Virginia, Floyd County was
created in 1831 from nearby Montgomery County. This database reveals valuable
information on 1900 residents who died in the county between 1883 and 1896.
It was compiled from microfilm copies of the original documents and
researchers will find the deceased person's name, race, sex, death date,
cause of death, age, parent's names, and birthplace. To those seeking
Virginian ancestors, this collection can be a helpful source of information.
