question.
Answer
has anyone done a study on cemeteries in tn that have cardwell's buried in
them?
Not specifically, but there has been several local history groups that have
cataloged the majority of cemeteries. There was even a University of
Tennessee Grad student that indexed them as part of a project. That info
can be found in the East Tennessee Historical Society Archives.
specifically anyone have a list of cardwell's buried in grainger, knox,
union co's?
Yep! I would have to dig it up for you.... it is filed away at the moment.
curious to know also if "old" cemeteries are well kept, totally destroyed
or
on private property now?
I know of a couple of private property that are very well maintained. I've
also came across "lost" ones when I've been knocking around in the great
outdoors. Most of the older ones have been maintained. I've been to
several that contain some of the "old" cardwell folks. On the most part they
are in good condition.
