Grace-
I have an Elizabeth Cardwell who was born in Brotherton, Yorkshire,
England on Mar 6, 1768. She is the sister of my direct line, Robert
Cardwell who came from Yorkshire to Campbell County, VA. I have more
information on this line, if you think that it might be yours, too.

Subject: [CARDWELL-L] Cardwell - Joyce - Vernon
I have Cardwell, Joyce, and Vernon lines I cannot connect. I'm
stuck on the
Joyce
male who married Melissa/Millicent Vernon, b. 1802 in NC. Their
daughter
was born
in 1831 in IN, Catharine A. Joyce.
Melissa/Millicent Vernon's mother was Elizabeth Cardwell and her father was
James
Vernon. These families intermarried in NC and VA.
Does anyone here have a connection with this family? I know that George
Joyce
served with Capt. Richard Vernon in VA.
