A special note to you.
If you receive a message via the list and you see the following in the
subject area please be advised that the person who sent the message is
not a subscriber "yet", might not want to be, and if you wish to reply
to them, you will need to send them a note via their address and not the
rootsweb list address.
example:
Subject: {not a subscriber} Tracing Brownlee roots
Date: Thu, 17 Dec 1998 15:31:32 -0800 (PST)
From: "John Doe" <JohnDoe(a)yaba.net>
To: <BROWNLEE-L(a)rootsweb.com>
The reason for this is that ALL rootsweb lists are now closed to anyone
trying to send spam and only I will be able to send these messages to
you once they are bounced to me. I can choose to send them if I see that
they are really about genealogy.
Hopefully this won't happen very often. But please watch for this when
you are hitting the reply button : )
