It is not often that I send you administrative stuff from headquarters
at rootsweb but since all three of the lists I am managing have been
growing I thought it was time to send a friendly reminder that we all
need to consider how lucky we are today to have this vehicle of doing
research and how much harder it was for those before us and to examine
the value of what is offered to us. I am in no way saying to you that
the below is a must, manditory or otherwise - TOATLLY OPATIONAL!!!!!
Regards
Kay Cardwell-Davis
PS before you read the below I must share a funny saying by my almost 5
year old. (he is learning subtraction mind you)
Mommy, how old will I be when you are 100? Equation answer 71, WOW, and
how old will Zahava be (my daughter)? answer 69, WOW, that must mean
that daddy will be 1000.
Of course I had to rub that one in for a day or so.

What is RootsWeb and How Can You Help?
RootsWeb is:
-- Mailing lists. Over 2400 of them, helping hundreds of
thousands of Internet genealogists communicate
-- Web sites. Over 2200, especially the majority of USGenWeb
state and county pages. RootsWeb also hosts the "front door"
pages for the
usgenweb.org and
usgenweb.net domains.
-- Searchable databases. From the Roots Surname List (in its
tenth year with over 50,000 submitters and over 350,000 surnames)
to over 5 gigabytes of data in the USGenWeb Archives and the
mailing list archives.
