First I want to thank everyone who has responded to my line. It has been
great!! We HAVE made some connections!!
Last week-end a CARDWELL cousin made a visit to Everton Pulbishing Co.
library. She came up with some interesting information that answered some of
our questions but it also raised more. So I'm turning to you again for some
input.
For years some of our relative (now desceased) said that our Daniel CARDWELL
was married to Elizabeth Worsham. In searching records Janie and I could
never find proof but we did find proof of his marriage to Obedience THWEATT.
Now in the research she did this week-end it said that Obedience was first
married to Daniel's brother Thomas. When Thomas died she married Daniel.
Daniel was 50 years old at the time of their marriage. It also said it was
a second marriage for him. Now does it make sense that perhaps he WAS
married to Elizabeth Worsham as his first wife . So if that is the case, who
was the father of our Nathan Perrin? Since we don't have a birth date for
him, it is very hard. Also we don't have any siblings either.
Does anyone have any suggestion? We would really appreciate any suggestion
as to where to go from here?
Thanks in advance
Alice
I am researching Cardwell B.R. Smith, died in Polk County, AR before
1900, parents Millington Smith and Barbara Barton. There may be a
Cardwell ancestor.

My ancestor is George Cardwell son of Perrin Cardwell. See the ancestor
chart below starting with the brother of George, Thomas Cardwell. He also
went to White County, TN. I'd like more information on him, who he married
etc. George Cardwell married Avis Bishop. Their daughter Mary Cardwell
married Henderson Tilley, my ancestors.
I also am looking for proof that the marriage that I found (below) of
Perrin Cardwell to Sarah Cleary is the correct one for my line. Most of
these Cardwells were from NC, and there were a lot of Perrin Cardwells
floating around. The name as we know came from Martha Perrin.
I like to make my data base as accurate as possible, with proof and
documentation. If anyone has information to the contrary on this line,
please let me know.

Rand;
In one of your messages last spring you mentioned a Caleb Cardwell and
that "he may have died". I believe you were referring to Smith Co.
Tn.1820-1830 census at the time . In looking for my Howard ancestors I
found a Caleb Cardwell in Montgomery Co . Il. in the 1830 census . There
were 3 males under 5 ;1 male 5/10; 1 male 10/15; 1 male 15/20; 1 male
40/50; 1 female 5/10; 2 females 10/15; and 1 female 30/40 . I don't know
if this is the same Caleb but may give another place to look . I haven't
checked later census for that area as I didn't find any sign of the ones
I was originally looking for . Hope this helps someone .
