Aime R. Cardinal, BELMONT

BELMONT - Aime R. Cardinal, 77, of Tee Dee Drive, died yesterday at his home after a long
illness. He was born in Laconia, the son of George and Aurore (Marcoux) Cardinal. He lived
in Laconia for most of his life before moving to Belmont many years ago. Cardinal served
with the U.S. Navy during World War II. He worked as a plumber for J.H. Valliere Plumbing
and Heating Co. for more than 25 years before retiring in 1988. He was a communicant of
St. Joseph Church of Laconia. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Cardinal of Belmont; two stepsons, Charles Clough of
Belmont and Wayne Clough of Laconia; a stepdaughter, Donna Duso of Laconia; a brother, the
Rev. Maurice Cardinal of Hawaii; three sisters, Rachel Giguere of Belmont, Grace Dubreuil
of Laconia and Marcelle Defosses of Concord; seven grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and
cousins. Calling hours will not be held. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at
a!
later date in St. Joseph Church, Laconia. Urn burial will be held in Sacred Heart
Cemetery in Laconia.
