Here is my line:
G-ggrandfather Randolph/Randle Carden b. 1813 in Ga. (maybe
Meriweather
Co. m. Elizabeth Thompson
...
Feel that Randolph and his brother William were the sons of James
and
Elizabeth Tiller Carden and that Benjamin was not their brother but have
no proof. Hope someone can help out.
I assume you are familiar with the arguments I make at
http://users.ticnet.com/stevem/c1russ.htm
Is there some piece of evidence or some argument that you disagree with,
or is it that you find it all insufficient (certainly understandable).
Admittedly, everything I present is circumstantial, but I think it is a
strong case. Short of a will, or other document that specifically
states that Randolph is the son of James, is there anything else that
you think would be satisfactory?
I'm satisfied that Randolph is the son of James, but I can easily
understand why others might not be.
