Chuck has the same error about Zarrel Green/Pilgreen, it appears. His full
entry for Jane is: Jane Carden, born 1805 in Fairfield County, South
Carolina. She married on 5 Mar 1830 in Perry County, Alabama by Joseph
Martin, JP Zarrel Green. Notes: Janes marriage bond is dated 3 March 1830
and the return is dated 5 March 1830 by Joseph Martin, JP. Zarrel and Lucy
are on the 1830 Census. He is listed between 20 and 30, and she is between
15 and 20. They reside next door to her father James. James Cardin was born
in South Carolina in 1813. He was thirty-three when he enlisted. [1860
Census of Perry County, Alabama, p. 696]
