Hello! I have just joined the Carden mailing list after finding it via
Google. Naturally, what caught my initial attention was this 2005 death
notice of W. L. "Luther" Carden. He was my dad. :-)
I am George Carden, born in Hartselle, Alabama. I currently live in
Minneapolis. I'd like to say "hi" to Margaret Lee DuPont who I see is
part of my line of Cardens. Also, just a "hi" to all the Cardens.
Personally, I think it's a great name to have. I look forward to being
part of the group!

Thanks, Margaret...
I really do appreciate the info.about Luther Carden. It looks
like he was a contributor to the betterment of life in several
dimensions in AL and other states.
Have been compiling data over the last few months from
several others who have these lines in the state, and whose
ancestors went from here to nearby states, then on out west
in most cases. Now, I think I 'feel' a book about CARDEN's
in Alabama coming on... <s>.
Kind Regards, Martha
