Dear Listers,
Lately I've been corresponding with Jerry Butler, whose family
line includes some Cardens in Coosa Co, AL. David Carden, who
later migrated to Shelby Co, AL, is interesting. The info. below
is what he has found. David's father was Rufus Carden, who
also migrated to Montevallo, Shelby Co, AL from Coosa Co,AL.
Does anyone know of, or connect to, these Coosa Co, AL Cardens?

Carden's parents.
Any descendants of David James Carden are also Butler descendants
and my cousins. Is this your family?
My family is also from Coosa Co. AL. The Butler and Baker mentioned
above descend from brothers of my great, great grandfather.

This is not part of my family but I have Rufus Bartholomew Carden as the
son of Thomas F. Carden and Civility Ann Ball.
Thomas F. Carden, b. date unknown, Munford, Talladega Co., AL. d. AL on
28 Feb 1864. Mar. 20 Dec 1853 in Talladega Co., Civility Ann Ball, b.
abt 1833 in AL. d. 1900 in Chilton Co., AL.
Children:

3. Rufus Bartholomew, b. 23 Jan 1861, Munford, Talladaga Co. AL
