Hello Bailey...
We're getting quite a string going on this 1926 picture. I received some
pictures from Mary Lou Carden Henegar (William Polk's youngest dau.) a few
years ago that were taken in the 30's (after her birth). She found a roll
of 120 film in a drawer when cleaning up the homeplace after Aunt Bessie
died. Her husband had it developed, turnout it was about 60 years
old...taken at a family gathering. They all seemed to get together a lot
back then. My grandfather, Goldman Benton was in several of the pics on
that roll. I had never seen a picture of him until then. Olds pics can be
treasures.
That was a great find, Leland. I'm waiting for the development of a
roll of old Kodacolor prints. They require C-22 development, and I sent
it to the Rocky Mountain Film Laboratory in Colorado. They still
develop C-22 rolls, but they wait until they get enough to run a batch.
I was told that it could be 6-12 months before they process it and send
me what is on the roll. I found the roll in my mother's old Kodak Pony
135 camera that she originally bought about 1950. The film probably
dates from the 60s or early 70s.
Don't know if you have seen my website.

If you click on the link to *Caroline's Pages*, you will see some Carden
information that I included in my mother's ancestry. There's a
5-generation photograph of me, my older son, my mother, her mother, and
my great grandmother, Ida Florence (Brown) Carden taken in 1966 when I
was home while in medical school. My great grandmother died 2 years
later, so that was a very priceless photograph. There is also a ca.
1926 photograph of my great grandparents at a gathering of the Carden
and Brown families in Clinton.
Happy New Year to you and your family.
Bailey
Happy New Year and blessings.
