Leland.....please tell Wallace that we say thank you......for what he and so many others
had to go through for our freedom ......we are blessed to have men and women who are
willing to put their lives on the line to keep us free.
my own father was in the Navy between 1942-1946 but never had to under-go anything like
Wallace.
my mother had a brother by that name, he passed away from a massive heart just 3 months
after my own father died in 1976.

This is my first cousin, Wallace Frederick Carden, who will be 84 years old this year.
His line is Robert Carden (ca. 1763)
Goldman Benton Carden (1810)
William Goldman Carden (1841)
Goldman Benton Carden (1869)
Clayton Vivian Carden (1896) (Wallace's father)
For many years after the war he never talked of his experiences. In recent years due to
the interest in
remembering the Holocaust, he and several other survivors have been recognized for their
service to our
country and shared their experiences.
Happy New Year to all.

There's a Wallace Carden from Briceville, TN mentioned in the article
found at the following link.
I was wondering if anyone has him in their line? This man was a real
hero...
