Hope this helps on your William Cardin query. I might have what
Dicey's maiden name is in my notes somewhere. I will look.
Bobbie in Louisiana
This helps immensely! I did not have all these as such. In particular,
I had the the Polly CARDEN married (from the Maddox books) as Polly
CARIN so was uncertain as to whether she was one of ours or not. It
also showed her new hubby as EDWARDS rather than EDMONS.
Since we know that the Betsy CARDEN who married James GOOLSBY is a
daughter of William, the Betsy (shown as CARDER in the Maddox book) must
be a daughter of William's brother John. I'm guessing that "Belsay" is
also a daughter of John. The 1800 Oglethorpe Co census shows John
CARDEN with three younger females in his household.
