Hello all,
I am not researching this family but, I think I have some information on
this family (I think). I have a little information on a Charles Freeman
Carden and his family. If this is the same family and someone is interested
I will look for the information and post it. I think I emailed the group
and asked about this Charles Freeman Carden, perhaps someone still has that
post and can resend it. Anyhow, let me know.
As always,
Mike

Is anyone researching Charles CARDEN of early Pulaski Co GA and/or
Charles CARDEN of early Lincoln Co GA?
Charles CARDEN of Pulaski Co was an RS and according to: (thanks Chuck!)

Is anyone familiar with the evidence to support the dates and locations
given here?
Is the Charles CARDEN of Pulaski Co the same as the Charles CARDEN of
Lincoln Co? The last record of Lincoln Co Charles is him selling land
(all of it?) in October of 1810. The first record I have of Pulaski Co
Charles is him on a jury in the summer of 1810. Lincoln Co Charles
seems to have been a steady inhabitant of Lincoln Co from at least 1797
to 1810. If so, I don't see how a son David Freeman CARDEN could have
been born in NC in 1801. It should also be pointed out that the 1790,
1800, and 1810 census records for North Carolina do not show a Charles
CARDEN.
If Charles of Pulaski is not Charles of Lincoln, then what happened to
Charles of Lincoln, and where did Charles of Pulaski come from?
And now the $64K question: Is Charles of Lincoln the brother of William
and John over in Oglethorpe Co? Their brother Charles, wherever he is,
was probably born about 1760 in Orange Co NC, not 1765 in VA.
