I was just enjoying the wit and humor of all my newfound Carden relatives

On that basis I guess someone could say "who wants to be called
Carden/Cardin". You all can call me anything except "late for supper".

In England there are plenty called Cardin, Cardon and Carding mostly in my
opinion belonging to the one family, with the differences arising in the
days
when many people were illiterate. Did that apply to your family? A year
or
so ago I posted the sad story of a fellow whose only child bore a son
to
an
ill-behaved Lieut Carden from Tipperary, and left the family estates
to
the
boy on the condition he changed his name to Carding.
