Carden, John, President of the Gambrinus Brewing Co., died Oct. 6 at his
residence, 457 Dayton St. after a few days illness. He was born in Ireland
in 1832 and emigrated to the U.S. in 1851. ... (Chicago Irish Families,
1875-1925)
Clearly he is the "John, 20" Famine Immigrant listed below. He did well! I
wonder what happened to his (presumably) elder brother Pat. I will see
whether I can find them in my comprehensive Mayo and Sligo BMD extracts when
I am back in England.
