This obituary came from the Spalding County, Georgia mailing list hosted by
Rootsweb (GASPALDI-L(a)rootsweb.com), and appeared on that list on 3 October
2000. The item doesn't give a birth date, nor an age at death, but does
state that this Mary Lee (Carden) Mallory was the daughter of George W.
Carden and Clarisa Ward. Does anyone know this line?

Mrs. Mallory Dies At Home,
Mrs. Mary Lee Carden Mallory died at her residence, 521 Lake avenue,
yesterday at 4:40 p. m. following an illness of several months.
Mrs. Mallory was employed by Ruston Mill until ill health forced her to
retire last March. She was a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church and a teacher
in the Sunday School department.
Mrs. Mallory was born in Roakoke, Ala., daughter of the late Mr. George
W. Carden and Mrs. Clarisa Ward Carden.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 4 p. m. at the Oak Hill Church
with the Rev. Walter Blackwell and the Rev. Merrill Meadows officiating.
Burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery.
Mrs. Mallory's body will remain at Haisten Brothers Funeral Home until
and hour prior to the funeral at which time it will be taken to the church to
lie in state.
She is survived by her husband Hubert J. Mallory, her mother Mrs. George
Carden, two sisters, Mrs. E. M. Shivers of Griffin and Mrs. C. W. Bradley of
Scottdale, Ga., four brothers, G. T. Carden, J. E. Carden, William B. Carden
and Roy Carden, all of Griffin.
