Hi Arthur,
Since you asked...I took the liberty to donate the books in question in your name with the
stipulation you were to receive a note of thanks, hopefully you are not offended. In
addition to the unsold books from the 2013 Carden Gathering, 2 each of Carden of Barnane,
Carden of Templemore, and 1 Carden Gathering 2008, I added 2 each Carden of Cheshire,
Carden in America, and 1 Carden Gathering 2008. It's my way of giving back to the
area where I was born and raised and thought it a small way of recognizing and thanking
you for the contributions you've made to those of us researching Carden history. I
also wanted to honor Chuck for his years of research and sharing with the Carden
community.
In addition to the Elizabethon-Carter County, TN library one each of the books went to the
Johnson City-Washington County, TN library, these towns/counties adjoin. The information
contained in your books should make life easier for those conducting research in these
facilities.
Again, thank you for all the hard work you have put in over the years and for sharing that
information and thank you for allowing me to donate the unsold books from the 2013 Carden
Gathering, the libraries were delighted to receive them.

Hi, Carden listers,
I have just received a thank-you from the Elizabethton-Carter County Public
Library, TN 37643. They say I have donated the following books: Carden of
Barnane, Carden of Templemore 2013, Carden in America, Carden of Cheshire
and Carden Gathering 2008.
I am intrigued to know who did so on my behalf. Someone who was at
September 2013 Carden Gathering in Hampton, Virginia, USA?
Please enlighten me!
