Hi Beth,
You are half right. John Lewis Carden and Sarah Elizabeth Frasier
(John's 2nd wife) are Homer's parents. Sarah Elizabeth Frasier was a
sister to my great-grandfather, Hiram Franklin Frasier. John and Ailsey
had one daughter Dora C. born 5 Oct 1873. Ailsey died 27 Oct 1873 in
Jackson County, Ala.
What is your connection to this Carden family? The Carden's are not my
direct line but always interested in learning more about them since my
great-great grandmother Sarah Cole Frasier married 2nd Leonard W. Carden,
John Lewis' brother.

Beth,
My mother's grandfather was a Homer Carden who lived in Madison county
Alabama at the time of his death. He was married to Mary Alice Cox.
Mom
thinks Homer's fathers name was John. I wonder if your research could
help
me find out if these are the same Homer's?

Jackie....we may have a hit here. I have a Homer Carden, no date or
place of birth listed....no spouse, but his parents were John Lewis
Carden, b. 1845 in Jackson County, AL and Ailsey Kirkpatrick. Do the
dates work at all? I'm going to post this on the CArden list and see if
anyone has anything else.
Beth
