Here's the name and a website for an interesting Carden -
Carden Gillenwater (1917-2000)- of Knoxville, TN.
He was a pro. baseball player in the 1940's.

I just happened to run across his memorial on Google when I
typed in "Carden" and selected the pictures category. I was
immediately struck with his astonishing resemblance to my
sister's youngest son, Adam, who is a definite Carden of the
tall, dark-haired, 'big smile' type.
Carden Gillenwater's name led me to think that his mother might've
been a Carden, so...I began a cursory search for him on Ancestry.
According to Jody Logan, who posted some of the info., "Gilly"'s
mother, Florence Victoria Carden, was a descendant of Goldman
Benton Carden -

- Carden Edison "Gilly" Gillenwater (1917,TN)
Weren't Goldman B. Carden's parents -
Robert James Carden (1740,Goochland,VA) & Elizabeth Robards ?
Does anyone on the list link directly to this line, and are there
any family resemblances that you notice between "Gilley" and
your Carden family members?
Interesting... Martha
