I looked at some hand-written notes on Irish Carden genealogy that are kept
at the Genealogical Office of Ireland in Dublin. I saw them via microfilm
from the Family History Library under the title Miscellaneous Pedigrees,
notes and correspondence, Surnames A-C, film number 100242. These pages
are not a formal genealogy, but what appear to be someone's working
notes. There is no indication of whose notes they might be and no date. I
don't see any data so far in the 19th Century, so that may be when it was
done.
Here's a first instalment of what I can make out. This entry matches up in
my data to JOHN CARDEN, b. CIR 1715, d. 1762.

From a note in the Carden file in Miscellaneous Pedigrees at the
Genealogical Office of Ireland, Dublin, keeping the original line breaks:
John Carden of Coolragh
Co Clare, Gent. Possessed
the lands of Killard --
Dying to be buried outside
the Church of Dromineer near
his father's feet. Will of
6 May 1765 [illegible word: lodps?] -- Feb 9
per [or "prd" for "proved"?] Killaloe 230d 1766.
Paul Minnitt Esq Sr.
["&" ?] Prococke [Peacock?] Brayacer ? [that's all hard to read]
That note is joined by a marriage symbol to an entry as follows:
Eliza dau ([illegible word or words: "fah"? "of coh"?] of Capt'n
John)
Minnitt (by Mary dau
of James Gibbins Sr of
Hiltrush [?] Co Leics
Below these entries is a descendents' line with the following entries from
left to right (sons have numbers 1 to 3 over them, daughters have numbers 1
to 6; "C" or "Cn" seems to be the author's shorthand for
"Carden"):
William Carden [note underneath: "2y Major Cn?"]
James Carden [note underneath: "2y James Cn of Irenagh?"]
Jon'n Carden [note underneath: "Query Captain Cn?"]
Cath'e Carden = Henry Cassbic [Cessbic?]
Eliz'h Carden = Caleb Minnitt [illegible word: Sspjob] cousin of her mother
Mary Carden = Wm Neuf [could be "Rauf"] Esq [in a different hand:] m. 1764
Jane Carden = Isaac Rauf [in a different hand:] m. 1765
Martha Carden
Abigail Minnitt Carden
[Below this there is a line drawn across the page, and it starts another
tree with William Carden, grandfather of this John Carden.]
[Note: at the upper right of this page is a marginal note as follows: "of
these lines, which is the Major and which is the Captain? Major __ Carden
was killed at Bunker's [?] Hill. Captn __ Carden [illegible words:
foenshed at Ennid costly] in 1798."]
