In the second transcription from the "Carden Pedigree" MS, where I have
"William Carden Esq. of Newlands to Killard", on re-examination it should
be "William Carden Esq. of Newlands Co Kildare".
This transcription is for his son William Carden who married Catherine
Cleburn. I have his dates as b. CIR 1674, d. Jan 1759 [from Burke's "Irish
Family Records"].

[and has a descendents' line to three children, as follows.]
- Jonathan Carden of Killard is his of father's his frd Will of
1756. [this has a marginal note, in another hand, apparently a source
reference. Looks like "Selt. [or Sett.] Deid. 198, 369 No 132754". There
is another note in the same hand over Jonathan's marriage symbol "1758 or
1759", so maybe the reference is to some listing of marriages]. [wife is
listed as:] Bridget dau of ____ Frend Esq of Ballinhure [? last 3 letters
obscure] Co [county name is indicated by a "Z" over a period] & of Bridget
his wife ? [question mark in original] [Descendents' line shows two
children:] William Carden, Bridget Carden
- John Carden ["of Killard" is crossed out and the phrase "& Coolragh
Co
Clar per Will" is added in parentheses]. [There is no marriage symbol
shown, and a sentence below the name has been crossed out. There is a
descendents' line showing children John, Jonathan, and Elizabeth, showing
that the author apparently did not identify this John Carden with the one
at the top of the page (John who married Eliza Minnitt).]
