Sarah - I am only now back from my sailing holiday, which is the reason for
my delay in responding to your posting below.
Please tell me what sources you have examined for James Carden of Dundee,
Scotland, who died from injuries in the Crimean War. I will then consider
making some efforts to trace him myself, or at any rate make some
suggestions. Am I right in assuming that you are yourself from USA, which
is why your enquiries over here may have been of limited extent?
Please also let me know your surname, so that I can keep my records up to
date.
Arthur Carden, of Horsham, England.

I'm still searching for my CARDEN family from Dundee, Angus,
Scotland. I
have only approximate dates.
James CARDEN (d. c1856 from injuries suffered in Crimean War)
John CARDEN (b. bef 1856, d. bef 1950)
+ Margaret MILLAR (d. aft 1950)
John CARDEN
Jean CARDEN
William CARDEN
Ann CARDEN
Margaret CARDEN (I believe there were 2 daughters named
Margaret; the 1st one died)
Alexander CARDEN
Albert CARDEN (b. c1900, d. 14 Dec 1922)
Hector CARDEN (b. 10 Jul 1904, d. 13 Oct 2001)

I'm not even sure of the order of the children; I only know that Hector
was
the youngest boy and Cathryn was the youngest girl.
If anyone has information about this family, please reply to the list or
leave a message on my website's guestbook.
Thanks,
Sarah
